Lakeland Clinical Trials Wellington

Clinical trials are a key research tool for advancing medical knowledge and patient care.

A clinical trial involves research using human volunteers (also called participants) that is intended to add to our medical knowledge. In a clinical trial participants receive specific interventions or treatment according to the research plan or protocol. This sets out in detail the process and design of the study, the treatment(s) to be used and the measurements that will be required.

All parties (investigators, study co-ordinators and pharmaceutical company employees) involved with the development and testing of the study medicine must follow the study protocol.

The people who volunteer to be studied during these trials are advised beforehand of possible risks.

Help us find a way to prevent RSV disease

Are you aged 60 years or older?

Older adults are at an increased risk of developing serious complications, including inflammation of the lungs or pneumonia, from respiratory syncytial virus, or RSV. The main goal of the EVERGREEN Study is
to see if an investigational study vaccine can prevent RSV disease caused by a respiratory syncytial virus in older adults.

You may be eligible to take part in the study if you:
• are 60 years of age or older
• can do your usual daily activities even with some interference from any health conditions
• are able to use smartphones, tablets, and/or computers.

If you are interested, additional eligibility criteria will be assessed by the study doctor or staff.

Qualified participants may receive study-related medical care at no cost. The study will not pay for other medical care or current medication(s) needed to support your daily healthcare routine.

By joining the EVERGREEN Study, you may learn more about respiratory infections. For more information about the EVERGREEN Study, please visit https://nz.evergreentrial.com or contact us today at: clinicaltrials@uhhc.co.nz

Help us find a way to prevent bloodstream infections.

People aged 60 years or older, with a history of urinary tract infection (UTI), are at an increased risk of developing a bloodstream infection caused by an E. coli bacteria.

The commitment for the study is approximately 3 years.

Qualified participants may receive the investigational vaccine and some study-required medical care at no cost. The study will not pay for other medical care or current medication(s) needed to support your daily health care routine.
